APPLE DAY!
Saturday October 9th 2010. 10am onwards.

We sell all varieties of apples at Burwash Manor; some rare varieties, and even some that we grow ourselves. But we like to hear about your apples too, so on Apple Day, EEAOP experts will be on hand to identify that mystery apple you have growing in your garden. If you bring enough apples (and bottles!), Jack the Juicer will turn them into tasty juice for you. We'll also have lots of locally grown apples, juice and cider to admire, taste and buy.

There will be plenty of countryside activities including a hedge laying competition and vintage ploughing match (9am-1pm), falconry displays, demonstrations of willow weaving, displays of traditional farm machinery, Cambridge Bee Keepers, tractor and trailer rides and a chance to try your hand at archery.

Entertainment will be provided by Jezzo the Magician, Sawston Steel Band, Punch and Judy and the Molly Dancers. We will also have fairground rides, face painting and a visit from Shepreth Wildlife Park.

To keep you going (and just in case you need a little change from the apples!), there are food stalls (including a visit from the ever popular Icicle Tricycle), a beer tent and a cake stand to tempt you.

Entrance is £2 per adult, children free, with all proceeds going to the Sick Children's Trust.
