Summer is finally here!
With sunny days and warm nights filled with the
calls of crickets and frogs, summer is definitely
our favourite time of year. Days are long and
lazy and the air is scented with the smell of
freshly cut grass and alive with the buzz of the
bees. But it is not just the insects that are
busy at work!
Here at the Larder we
have been working extremely hard to bring you
the ultimate taste of Summer. With the sweetest
strawberries, the juiciest raspberries and the
reddest cherries you will be in heaven if it is
that quintessential English taste you are looking
for. Or, to really spoil yourself, why not try
one of our mouth watering Cartmel Summer Puddings,
smothered in our amazing Hadley's or Alder Tree
ice cream?
Summer is all about eating al fresco, so where
better to go than to the Larder for all your picnic
treats? With Leech's fantastic quiches, ever popular
scotch eggs and our own delicious sausage parcels
made entirely from our own Essex Saddlebacks here
on the farm, you will be spoilt for choice. Our
fine array of olives and cheeses will provide
a picnic fit for a king, especially when washed
down with a choice of fine French lemonades or
a tipple of local beer or cider.
There's no excuse not to come to the Larder this
summer. We are here seven days a week to help
you choose your perfect summer feast.
